Every so often you read a book that marks your heart, brings you to prayer, and breathes inspiration into your soul. Such was the case for me when I first read and prayed through, the diary of Servant of God, Elisabeth Leseur. A French mystic at the turn of the last century, Madame Leseur lived in an environment hostile to her faith both within and without the confines of her home. Deeply in love with God and with her husband, she found a way to make use of her internal suffering to grow in union with God, and to be a source of conversion for her husband. We’ll find out more about this remarkable woman and the spiritual path she forged.
