WGR11852 - Visio Divina: Entering into Sacred Art, Part 1
7/18/2022
(Program 11852) Guest: Kate Capato
Historical evidence tells us that Christian art dates from the late second century to the early 4th century. It comes to us via artistic renderings on the walls of Christian tombs and catacombs all of which sought to communicate the artist’s belief and passion for the teachings of Jesus Christ. Since that time to the present, with very few interruptions, Christian art has served to raise the minds and the hearts of those who see to the glory of the One Who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Today, we will meet a Catholic artist whose own creative gifts find a place in this glorious tradition that has graced places of worship since the very early days of Christianity.
