WGR11858 - St. Therese of Lisieux: The Playwright, Part 1
Guest: Susan Conroy.
Over a period of about three years toward the end of her life, St. Therese of Lisieux was asked by her Carmelite superiors to compose eight “theatrical pieces” for special occasions in her convent. Our guest today will tell us about the Carmelite tradition that led to this request, and how the theatrical pieces the Little Flower wrote were inspiring, instructional, encouraging – and prophetic. Today is Part 1 of St. Therese of Lisieux: The Playwright.
