As we discovered yesterday, the Liturgy of the Hours, also known as the Divine Office or the Breviary comprises the public prayer of the Church along with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. A part of our Christian tradition of prayer since its earliest days, it came to us by way of our Jewish roots, and is a vital part of our experience of the universality of the Church. Paul Rose is back with us today to continue our conversation about the Divine Office and to tell us why singing it may well be the most effective way of praying it.
