In every day and time God raises up great saints who meet the challenges of the day with heroic virtue. Their magnanimity becomes a conduit of grace for their time and for times yet to come. In our program today, we’ll be introduced to Venerable Mother Maria Luisa Josefa of the Blessed Sacrament, a petite woman from a small town in Jalisco, Mexico, whose unflagging witness to God’s call in a tumultuous time brought the light of His love to the poor, the suffering, and the beleaguered. Her hope, born out in hardship and contradiction, inspires us to persevere in and through the circumstances of our own day and time.
