In 1995 Gregory Floyd and his wife, Maureen, lost their beloved John-Paul, age six and a half, when he was struck down by a teenage driver while playing in their front yard. Mark and Christi Tripodi lost their son three year old son, Bobbi, the day after Mother’s Day, in May of 2000. He had spiked a high fever Mother’s Day night and was dead the next day from bacterial meningitis.

Shocking. Stunning. Surreal. Three adjectives that don’t begin to describe the devastation that was theirs. And yet, for these parents, there were other children who needed to navigate this loss. How do you parent when you as parent are suffering so deeply? That’s the topic of our discussion today.
