"What are you doing, O Magi? Do you adore a little Babe, in a wretched hovel, wrapped in miserable rags? Can this Child be truly God? … Are you become foolish, O Wise Men … Yes, these Wise Men have become fools that they may be wise."
-St. Bernard of Clairvaux
Today's Reflection:
The mystery of Christmas overturns human expectations. True wisdom kneels before what appears small, poor, and powerless, recognizing in the Child of Bethlehem the very Wisdom of God. Like the Magi, we are invited to lay aside pride and certainty in order to adore.
On this feast of the Epiphany, where might Christ be asking you to embrace holy “foolishness” so that you may grow in true wisdom?
