“What is past is past; it cannot be undone, it cannot be changed by self-torture. When it is sinful it can be and should be confessed once, and only once, and then forgotten; when it is just a mistaken, confused or foolish thing, it should simply be left alone.”
-Caryll Houselander
Today’s Reflection:
Do you dwell on past mistakes or sins? When we continually return to what God has already forgiven, we risk forgetting the power of His mercy. Once a sin has been sincerely confessed, it belongs to God’s mercy—not to our self-reproach. The Lord is inviting you to let go of the past today and trust in His forgiveness!
