The retreat topic is The Blessed Mother, the Angels, and the Spiritual Battle. I believe this is a most important topic. In this our day and time it grows increasingly important to know how to confront the spiritual challenges facing us individually, within our families, and within the culture of the day. This retreat will equip us with the tools to battle the forces of evil with faith, confidence, and trust in God. And all of this means victory through Christ Jesus.
Our keynote speaker is Kathleen Towne, founder of Our Lady of Unity Apostolate, Inc., an outreach dedicated to prayerful intercession for the priesthood.
In her work for priests, Kathleen has come to a deep understanding and application of Our Lady's role in salvation history and the power that is ours through Marian devotion. Kathleen has taught extensively on the angels, the discernment of spirits, and St. Louis De Montfort's True Devotion to Mary. Participants will be the recipients of her knowledge and wisdom.
I also want to invite you to attend the Women of Grace Leadership Institute on Thursday, July 30 one day prior to the start of the retreat. I will be conducting the Institute along with Mary Jo Anderson.
Accompanied by a skills-building workshop, the Institute will encourage your missionary effort within your own families, parishes, and communities.
Specifically targeting Women of Grace® facilitators, attendees will discover the role of vision and mission, how it is developed and implemented, its strategies and goals, and the defining qualities of Catholic leadership.
Using participant involvement, the Institute will also address practical issues and concerns and outline ways of taking your Women of Grace® study group to the next level.
God is looking for you “to aid humanity in not falling” because we can “transform the world one woman at a time.”
