JESUS AS KING, THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AS THE NEW ISRAEL, THE KINGDOM AND FAMILY OF GOD

The King:  In the New Testament, we read how Jesus was ultimately crucified for claiming to be a king.  When Jesus was questioned by Pilate, He made it clear that He was a king and that He had a kingdom. But He also clearly stated that His kingdom was not of this world (John 18:33-38).
