gracelinesheader

Here us, O God, Our Saviour! You choseSt Dymphna 3 St. Dymphna as heavenly patron of those afflicted with mental and emotional illness. Through her prayers grant relief and consolation to all who suffer in this way, especially for (Mention name[s]). Through the intercession of St. Dymphna, graciously grant those for whom we pray patience in suffering and resignation to your divine will. We ask this through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

For Reflection:

For whom do I need to ask St. Dymphna’s intercession? I commit that I will use this prayer to pray for him/her/them for the next week or more as the Holy Spirit leads me.

A Year with Mary: Daily Meditations on the Mother of God NEW! by Paul Thigpen; 388 pgs Click Here For More Information:              A Note on the Texts St Alphonsus' work The Glories of Mary is uniquely comprehensive, not just in the scope and detail of its Marian subject matter, but also in its citations of numerous saints, theologians, and other spiritual writers. So the preponderance of quotes selected from that particular text was perhaps inevitable. On the one hand, the author offers a number of provocative original insights. On the other, when his insights are drawn from the common spiritual tradition, he makes them all the more convincing by showing how many of the Church's spiritual giants concur on a matter. In quoting St. Alphonsus, then, we necessarily quote many other saints and spiritual writers.
