Born of Woman

July 10

"But when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman."
-Galatians 4:4 (RSV)

Today's Reflection:
Though Mary is but a creature like you and me, through her womb and from her genes came the One who is Redeemer.  Mary's "yes" literally gave flesh to God's plan for salvation.  In this way, Mary mediated by being a channel for God's redemptive grace to enter the world.  She literally brought the Word of God to the world.  Like Mary, our spiritual Mother, we are called to be mediators by bringing the Word of God to others...by virtue of our baptism each of us is called to bring God's word to others by proclaiming the Good News of salvation.
How is God calling you to bring "the Good News of salvation" to those you encounter today?  Your family, your friends, your coworkers...how can you share the Good News with each?
