Beware of Reiki-Infused Products/Jewelry

JB writes: "What are Reiki-infused objects and are they spiritually dangerous?"

Although having a Reiki-infused object in the home does not mean the inhabitants will be instantly possessed, but I would not want anything with this occult-based "blessing" upon it in my home.

For those who never heard of this, Reiki infused items - known as Reiki-charged or Reiki-attuned - include everything from crystals and jewlery to candles, oils, and even food and water.

As this site explains, "The process of infusing these items with Reiki energy involves the practitioner channeling healing energy into the item, with the intention of enhancing its positive properties and promoting healing and balance when used or worn."

What is this "healing energy" that they are channeling? It's known as the Reiki Source, a spiritual entity to which the practitioner is connected during a sacred spiritual initiation known as the Reiki attunement process. This ritual is also attended by "Reiki Guides: and other "Spiritual Beings" who help to implement the process.

Practitioners believe that Reiki infused items are imbued with an energy that can interact with the energy of the user. "For example, Reiki infused crystal necklace may be worn to promote emotional healing and spiritual growth, while Reiki infused candles may be used to create a calming and nurturing atmosphere in the home."

According to the practitioner, the primary benefit of these items is their ability to provide ongoing support and healing energy even when a Reiki practitioner is not present. "Unlike traditional Reiki sessions which are time-limited, Reiki infused items can be used or worn daily, allowing the recipient to experience the healing benefits continuously."

Another Reiki practitioner and jewelry designer pledges to "infuse the jewelry with a general Reiki blessing; one that will enhance the natural healing properties of the stones, crystals and metals within the design.  By infusing Reiki into all of my jewelry collections whomever is wearing or enjoying the stones, crystals and jewelry will benefit from Reiki’s Universal Life force and healing energy."

She is also willing to create a personalized Reiki infusion and "blessing" for recipients and needs only their name, birth date and the city and state where they live.  "Then as a Reiki Practitioner & Intuitive Energy Healer I channel the messages and focus the healing to where and what the recipient needs." https://lepapillondesigns.com/reiki-infused-jewelry/

By wearing and using these items regularly, she says, "individuals are encouraged to cultivate a deeper connection with their own inner healing abilities and the universal energy that surrounds them."

Notwithstanding the fact that there is no such thing as universal energy, relying upon this contrivance for power, abundance, etc. is a text book example of superstition.

But even more concerning is the process involved when Reiki practitioners, who are aligned with unnamed spiritual entities behind which demons are known to hide, places an invocation of some kind on these objects that could subject the wearer to spiritual harm.

Exorcists advise that one of the ways to determine if an object is cursed is to examine where it came from. If it came from someone who engages int the occult, which would include those who call upon spirits such as in the Reiki attunement, it could be infested. Although this would not necessarily rise to the level of being a cursed object - which is one that is intended to bring harm upon another - it could certainly be problematic.

For this reason, Bishop Donald W. Montrose warns Catholics in his excellent pastoral letter, Spiritual Warfare: The Occult has Demonic Influence, not to keep any New Age, occult-based or other objects used for superstitious purposes (horoscopes, talismans, jewelry, “medicine wheels,” books/pamphlets, etc) in the home or on our person and advises that they be destroyed immediately.
