Disney+ Star Wars Series Features Lesbian Space Witches

Parents and Star War fans alike are fuming over Disney’s new Star Wars spinoff which elevates wokeness to new intergalactic heights in the form of lesbian space witches.

The Washington Times is reporting on the third episode of Star Wars: The Acolyte, which is being panned as a “new low” and “an embarrassment” for Disney after featuring two eight-year-old twin girls named Mae and Osha whose lesbian mothers live in a “witchy, all-female space coven”. The girls were apparently conceived by the Force rather than a father.

At one point in the episode, one of the mothers tells her daughters that “This isn’t about good and evil. This is about power, and who is allowed to use it.”

The eight-part series does not appear to be impressing audiences. It received a dismal 14% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes which represents an all-time low for a Star Wars spinoff.

Alan Ng, editor-in-chief of Film Threat, panned the film in his June 5 review. “I became a massive Star Wars fan in 1977” at the age of 10. “I bought this galaxy far, far away, and today, I don’t recognize the place anymore. [Creator] Leslye Headland’s The Acolyte managed to put the final nail in the coffin for this fully grown adult. Yes. I accept it. Disney Star Wars is not for me.”

Cosmic Book News reviewer Matt McGloin calls the Acolyte series “boring, drawn out nonsensical garbage” saying that “Star Wars is a complete joke. Disney is a complete joke. #RIPSTARWARS.”

The movie website Worth It or Woke? was also critical of Ms. Headland’s work, calling it “shlocky storytelling” that contained “ridiculous dialogue and laughable lesbian chat-group fantasy fan-fiction.”

Wokeness is not the only complaint about the series. Parents commenting on The Acolyte on Common Sense Media also voiced concern about the violence. As this parent wrote, “This show is not suitable for children or teens. This show contains an on-screen depiction of suicide by consumption of poison . . . Multiple stabbings and beheadings in later episodes and a graphic on-screen neck snapping resulting in death also contribute to this show not being suitable. Undeveloped characterization and overall poor writing and scripting do not lend to conveying any great messages nor does this show portray the Jedi as good role models. . . “

As a result of these and other concerns, One Million Moms has initiated a campaign protesting The Acolyte and Disney’s continued decline from what was once family-friendly entertainment.

“Parents presume that a streaming platform such as Disney+ is designed for children and is the last place parents would expect their children to be confronted with content regarding sexual orientation and sorcery," the site explains. "Issues of this nature are being introduced too early and too soon, and this type of content is becoming extremely common and unnecessary.”

The organization has condemned Disney’s penchant for political correctness and is calling on them to “stick to entertaining instead of pushing an agenda. Conservative families need to urge Disney+ to exclude mature and controversial topics from their programming.”

Thus far, they have more than 15,000 signatures from viewers who are pledging not to support Disney of Disney+ unless they stick to producing family friendly programming.
