According to Tom Minnery of March for Life, the only good news in the 2015 budget is that Title X funds dropped from $297 million to $286. The rest is all bad news.
As Minnery points out, "it appears that $5,000,000 is set aside for true abstinence education while almost six times that amount is reserved for “comprehensive” abstinence education that does everything from encouraging young kids to shower together to helping fund online “How to BDSM” videos for teens.
The budget is also obscure about the Obamacare slush funds which make it almost impossible to tell where the money will end up.
As Minnery explains: "In one instance the budget gives approximately $14.6 billion over 10 years to implement innovative policies to train new health care providers and ensure that the future health care workforce is prepared to deliver high-quality and efficient health care services. To encourage and enhance training of primary care practitioners, and other physicians in high-need specialties.”
While this provision was probably added to counter the rapid loss of doctors the country is facing in the wake of Obamacare regulations, Minnery wonders if it might also include the training of future abortionists.
There's also a $350 million slush fund known as "Community Services Block Grants" that could also be used to funnel money into the abortion industry because this money is distributed solely at the discretion of the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the notoriously pro-abortion Kathleen Sebelius.
The bottom line is that Planned Parenthood will continue to receive taxpayer funds through the Title X program in spite of the fact that it is the nation's largest abortion provider. As LifeNews points out, it performed 333,964 abortions in 2012, which amounts to "about one every 95 seconds, every day of the year."
