According to Vatican Radio, the latest volume, which is the completion of the previous two, is presently being translated from the original German into several languages, including English, after which time a publication date will be set.
The first volume in the series was published in 2007 and looked at events in Jesus' adult life and public ministry. The second book, published in 2011, focused on the last week of Jesus' life.
Meanwhile speaking in Introd, Northern Italy, Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone said that there may be a new encyclical from the Holy Father in the near future. It would be the fourth encyclical by Benedict XVI following Deus caritas est in 2005, Spe salvi in 2007 and Caritas in veritate in 2009.
