Third Annual Planned Parenthood Protest Set for April 28

Citizens for a Pro-Life America, which is headed by Women of Grace board member Dr. Monica Miller, is calling upon pro-lifers across the country to get involved in the third annual nationwide protest against Planned Parenthood which is scheduled for April 28.

#ProtestPP is co-sponsored by Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, Created Equal, and the Pro-Life Action League along with a coalition of over 60 state and national pro-life groups. The annual protest will take place on the 4th Saturday of April every year until the nation’s largest abortion chain “no longer preys upon our communities.”

“Join us as we tell our communities that we don’t need Planned Parenthood and call on our leaders in Congress to strip the corrupt organization of their massive, half-billion dollar government subsidy!” #ProtestPP states on their website.

Last year’s event drew thousands of protestors to 228 locations in 45 states.

The main purpose of the protests is to draw attention to the facts about Planned Parenthood that are so rarely publicized by the mainstream media. This includes how Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion chain that rakes in an estimated $191 million on abortion alone every year.

It’s also a lightning rod for controversies ranging from submitting fraudulent Medicaid claims to harvesting and selling fetal tissue for which the company is now under federal investigation.

The chain also has a bad habit of exaggerating the role they play in providing healthcare to women even though it provides less than two percent of manual breast exams, one percent of pap tests and zero mammograms annually.

Because there are 13 times more federally qualified health centers in America providing healthcare to women at the present time than Planned Parenthood clinics, should Congress act to defund the abortion giant, there would still be plenty of funding for women’s health care needs.

#ProtestPP is currently looking for more people who are willing to host a rally at a Planned Parenthood location in their local area. Their website provides all the information and resources a leader may need to get a protest started.
