"If a little flower could speak, it seems to me that it would tell us quite simply all that God has done for it, without hiding any of its gifts. It would not, under the pretext of humility, say that it was not pretty, or that it had not a sweet scent, that the sun had withered its petals, or the storm bruised its stem, if it knew that such were not the case." -St. Thérèse of Lisieux
Today's Reflection:
In the Little Way, everything is relative. If the smallest flower is the best smallest flower it can be, it is just as good as the beautiful rose that is the best rose it could be. Do I understand this and realize that I can be just as magnificent as the rose if I’m the best pansy or violet that I can be? Does this help me to accept myself more, and to appreciate the gifts God has given me rather than seeing only my deficiencies and putting myself down?
St. Thérèse, help me to accept who I am and to spend time today praising God for the beauty of my littleness.
