"We should never fear the battle when the good of our neighbor is involved."
-St. Thérèse of Lisieux
Today's Reflection:
Sometimes we have to take an unpopular stand on important moral issues, but if it means giving good example to our neighbor, then we must do so with courage and conviction. Thérèse suggests that we focus on doing good for others rather than waste time fearing the battle. How courageous am I when it comes to upholding Church teaching? Do I take a stand based on both my beliefs and my love for neighbor?
Dear Thérèse, it’s so easy to cower when the battle for souls intensifies. Help me to call upon the Lord for the grace to be courageous, firm, and charitable in the profession of my faith, especially when it concerns my neighbor’s eternal life.
