Bullied Colorado Baker Experiencing Record Sales

Another attempt by homosexual activists to bully a businessman into supporting their lifestyle has backfired once again as a Colorado baker who refused to supply a same-sex couple with a wedding cake is now experiencing the same spike in sales from supporters that was experienced by Chick-fil-A last week.

The Blaze is reporting that Jack Phillips, owner of the Masterpiece Cake Shop in Lakewood, Colorado came under attack by a homosexual couple for refusing to provide them with a cake for their "wedding."

The couple, Dave Mullin and Charlie Craig, came into the store in July to ask about having a cake made for their wedding. Phillips immediately told the men he does not make cakes for gay weddings.

“It was the most awkward, surreal, very brief encounter,” Mullins, 28, told the Denver Westward. ”We got up to leave, and to be totally honest, I said, ‘F*** you and your homophobic cake shop.’ And I may or may not have flipped him off.”

Later that day, the couple tried to smear the local businessman on Facebook, but Phillips refused to cower. He told the press that he has no problem making birthday, graduation or other event cakes for homosexuals, but he draws the line on wedding cakes.

“If gays come in and want to order birthday cakes or any cakes for any occasion, graduations, or whatever, I have no prejudice against that whatsoever, he said. “It’s just the wedding cake, not the people, not their lifestyle.”

Not long after the episode, protestors started showing up outside his shop trying to turn customers away and bully Phillips into changing his mind.

Again, he refused. “If it came to that point, then we‘d close down the bakery before we’d compromise our beliefs,” Phillips proclaimed. “And so that may be what it comes to, but we’ll have to see.”

His valor impressed his neighbors and his business is now experiencing a huge spike in sales as people began coming in to his store to show their support

He told the Westword that the positive feedback he's been receiving outweighs the negative "100 to one."

In addition to doubling orders, Jack says that people are calling or dropping by the shop just to show their encouragement. "I'm not going to change my business because of a petition," Jack told Fox News. "I'm just going to do the best I can to honor Jesus Christ."
