Liberals in the U.S. Senate are using the National Defense Authorization Act to forward their social agenda by including a bill that will repeal the military's ban on sodomy and bestiality.

The Senate Judiciary Committee passed a bill yesterday calling for the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and even though it is not expected to pass any time soon, experts say some parties within Congress may try to attach it as an amendment to the upcoming Department of Defense Authorization Bill in order to ram it through Congress.

The U.S. Senate may have dealt a death blow to any chance of repealing the military's "Don't Ask Don't Tell Policy" this year when the Senate Majority Leader was unable to muster enough votes to open debate on the Defense Spending bill to which it was attached.
