President Barack Obama has nominated Solicitor General Elena Kagan, a pro-abortion liberal with no judicial experience, to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens.

Even while insisting that he would not impose a “litmus test” on abortion rights, President Obama made it perfectly clear that he will nominate a Supreme Court justice who shares his view that "women should have the ability to make often very difficult decisions about their own bodies and issues of reproduction."

The oldest member of the Supreme Court, Justice John Paul Stevens, 89, has indicated in a recent interview that he will decide in the next month if he will quit the bench at the end of this term.
