According to an email sent by Marjorie Danenfelser, president of the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List, the newly released video may be one of the hardest things you will ever watch. It reveals medical personnel associated with Planned Parenthood talking about the abortion procedure and the violence committed against innocent unborn life.
In one scene from the video, Dr. Uta Landy, the founder of the Consortium of Abortion Providers (CAPS), Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) says, “An eyeball just fell down into my lap, and that is gross!” while the crowd bursts into laughter.
Dr. Ann Schutt-Aine, the director of abortion services for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast (which has been referred to local law-enforcement for criminal charges related to fetal-tissue trafficking) describes how she avoids performing an illegal partial birth abortion:
“If I’m doing a procedure, and I’m seeing that I’m in fear that it’s about to come to the umbilicus [navel], I might ask for a second set of forceps to hold the body at the cervix and pull off a leg or two, so it’s not PBA [partial-birth abortion].”
But what makes this even more appalling is that, according to Dr. Lisa Harris, the medical director of Planned Parenthood of Michigan, they are clearly aware of the fact that they are killing a human being while performing these procedures:
“Given that we actually see the fetus the same way, and given that we might actually both agree that there’s violence in here. . . . Let’s just give them all the violence, it’s a person, it’s killing, let’s just give them all that,” she says.
Since the release of the videos last year, David Daleiden and The Center for Medical Progress has endured an onslaught of legal harassment from an abortion industry desperate to silence him, many of whom are relying on their friends in government to shield them against the mounting public outrage over their involvement in the marketing of fetal body parts.
But their days of hiding behind their political allies may soon be coming to an end.
In March of this year, the former Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, California Attorney General, Xavier Becerra, announced a criminal complaint charging Daleiden and co-defendant Sandra Merritt with 14 felony counts of illegally recording “confidential communications” under California’s anti-eavesdropping law. The complainants in the case were listed simply as “Does” number one through 14 even though Daleiden's name was clearly listed.
Steve Cooley and Associates, Daleiden’s criminal defense attorneys, requested release of the identities of the Does, but their request was ignored. They took further legal action and were granted a “password protected” list of the names which supposedly are still confidential, even though what should have been done was amend the publicly filed complaint to publicly list Daleiden’s accusers the way it names Daleiden.
It should come as no surprise to anyone that the 14 Does listed on the complaint were mostly doctors who were caught on film by David Daleiden.
“Every video recording for which the Attorney General is charging David was obviously and unquestionably made in a public place where it could not possibly be considered ‘confidential,’” said Defense Attorney Brent Ferreira to the Media Research Center. “The only difference between David’s conduct and that of undercover video journalists every day in the state of California is the fact that he recorded the political backers of the state’s top prosecutor.”
They have set up a new website showcasing all the Center for Medical Progress videos mentioned in the complaint --including one featuring previously unseen footage.
As the MRC concludes, “AG Becerra’s interest in this case is entirely political, and is ‘meant to manipulate the law to do the bidding of their benefactors at Planned Parenthood’.”
Warning! This video is very disturbing.
