Bishop Thomas J. Paprocki of the Diocese of Springfield, Illinois has issued an official decree declaring that any Catholic politician who voted for a pair of radical pro-abortion laws recently passed in the state must refrain from receiving Communion until they have been reconciled with Christ and the Church.
In response to the fourteen Catholic senators who voted against a bill that would have prohibited abortions at the point when an unborn child can feel pain, Bishop Thomas Paprocki of the Diocese of Springfield has barred Senator Richard Durbin from receiving Communion in his diocese.
Ever since he issued internal communication to the clergy and staff of the Diocese of Springfield, Illinois on same-sex marriage and related pastoral issues, Bishop Thomas Paprocki has been under fire for allegedly attacking the LGBT population; however, he’s not about to give in to LGBT bullies and their allies and has published a brilliant defense of the Church’s teaching upon which it was based.
