I couldn't resist writing this blog in response to information I received about a book that supposedly contains words of wisdom from the Archangel St. Michael that were received via automatic writing.

A few weeks ago someone called into our radio show to ask if a book entitled Jesus Calling, written by Sarah Young is okay for a Catholic to read.
JM writes: "I am concerned about a group of Catholics who have been using the book, "God Calling". I heard years ago that it was occultic and I know it is not Catholic, but many enjoy and are amazed at the daily readings and how they kind of "click" with something currently going on in their lives.... I think it is very deceptive.
We recently received the following feedback from a follower of our ministry who was once a reader of the controversial Jesus Calling book by Sarah Young but found something so much better she wanted to share it with the rest of us.
Many people say they were inspired by the book, God Calling, which was written by two “listeners” who were using automatic writing to obtain messages that allegedly came from God; however, not everyone was impressed, such as this reader who said she found the content to be quite disturbing.
CM writes: “I was reading the blog on automatic writing and thought of Vassula who is well known throughout the world for her automatic writing which she says is from god I'm never really sure about this can you highlight this in any way for me?”
AM asks: “Has anyone read the book, A Course in Love? It appears to be new age.”
