“There is still time for endurance, time for patience, time for healing, time for change. Have you slipped? Rise up. Have you sinned? Cease. Do not stand among sinners, but leap aside.” -St. Basil For Reflection: How often I grow impatient with myself! This exhortation of St. Basil reminds me that it is not too late for change. Intercede for me, St. Basil, that I might not languish in disappointment nor grow tepid through discouragement. Ask God to grant me the grace to “leap aside”, and make progress in my interior life. Amen

ABOUT ST LOUIS DE MONTFORT pg xiii
St. Louis De Montfort exhausted his great physical strength by his apostolic labors. On his deathbed..., at age 43, he kissed the crucifix and a statue of the Blessed Mother. Apparently speaking to the devil, he exclaimed: "In vain do you attack me: I am between Jesus and Mary! I have finished my course: All is over. I shall sin no more!"
