In light of this quote, am I a “true Christian”? What in me still needs to be brought into right order with the Word of God?

Without the ardor of charity, which is the characteristic property and the certain indication of that interior life, all things else profit nothing.  The mere increase of organs without a corresponding vital energy would do nothing more than multiply needs and afflictions.  "Thou hast multiplied the nation, and hast not increased the joy."  But if "the flesh profits nothing," the spirit of Jesus Christ  "gives life" and the words of our Savior are all "spirit and life".
