MAN'S SALVATION

In Genesis 3:15, though pained by the transgression committed against His divine, love, God promises a solution to the misery of man's condition. He says that the seed of of the woman will smite the head of the serpent, thereby bringing salvation and redemption. The woman to who God refers is the Blessed Virgin Mary. The seed is Mary's son, Jesus Christ, whose very name reveals His mission and His work.
