Who Are The Angels?

Tomorrow is the Feast of the Archangels (September 29) and Friday is the Feast of the Guardian Angels (October 2).  Because of the importance of the angels in God's plan of salvation, their specific intercession for us and the rampant confusion in our day and time regarding them, my blog will offer a short study on the angels for the next couple of days. Each post will close with a suggestion or practical strategy for you to employ. Gay “Safe Schools Czar” Tells God “Screw You, buddy.”

By Susan Brinkmann, OCDS Staff Writer Serious concerns are being raised about Kevin Jennings, a homosexual activist appointed by President Obama to be the nation’s “Safe Schools Czar,” after memoirs surfaced in which Jennings wrote about his deep-seated hatred of God and religious believers and how he once bid God farewell with the words, “Screw you, buddy.”

Pope Addresses UN Summit on Climate Change

In a televised address to participants in the UN summit on climate change, which was held in New York City on Sept. 22, Pope Benedict XVI said that because the natural environment is given by God to everyone, “our use of it entails a personal responsibility towards humanity as a whole, particularly towards the poor and towards future generations.”

Archbishop Naumann Responds to Sec. Kathleen Sebelius

By Susan Brinkmann, OCDS Staff Writer Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City responded to statements made during a recent Washington Post interview with Kathleen Sebelius, the pro-abortion Catholic Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, where she blamed the “separation of church and state” for her persistent pro-abortion position that resulted in her being banned from Communion.
