Book Reveals New Details About Spirituality of Pope John Paul II

By Susan Brinkmann, OCDS Staff Journalist A new book written by the man in charge of the process leading to the canonization of the late Pope John Paul II reveals that in addition to signing a document promising to resign should he ever become incurably ill, the late pontiff was also in the habit of mortifying himself with a belt and sleeping on a bare floor to practice self-denial.
