In an effort to become more acceptable to mainstream America, pedophiles are rebranding themselves as “MAPs” (Minor Attracted Persons).The Daily Caller is reporting on the new movement which is attempting to attach itself to the LGBT+ community. MAPs even have their own “Pride” flag which is a variation of the rainbow flag typically used by LGBT groups.
“According to Urban Dictionary, the blanket term MAP includes infantophiles (infants), pedophiles (pre-pubescent children), hebephiles (pubescent children), and ephebophiles (post-pubescent children),” the Caller reports. “Some MAPs also refer to themselves as NOMAPs or ‘Non-Offending Minor Attracted Persons’.”
The Prevention Project, a group founded in 2013 by licensed therapist Candice Christiansen to provide help to people with “risky sexual thoughts, fantastices, or have non-contact problematic sexual behavior” is pushing this new movement to make attraction to children less of a taboo.
The organization’s motto, “Everyone Deserves Support” has many people worried that pedophilia may become the newest cause celebre in the world of political correctness.
Their site contains stories about men and women who are sexually attracted to children who were bullied or otherwise marginalized because of their orientation.
“The ‘MAP/NOMAP community’ tries to pull at people’s heartstrings by claiming that pedophiles are misunderstood marginalized people, and that as long as their attraction to children is not acted upon — or in some cases when they get permission from the child — that they should not be villainized,” the Caller reports.
Some Tumblr blogs are attempting to create “safe spaces” for MAPs with messages such as, “it’s okay to have these feelings” and “all kinds of fantasies are okay. Your thoughts can’t hurt anyone.”
As the Caller reports, the blog “Pedophiles about Pedophilia” also presents many sob stories of “marginalized” pedophiles in pretty pastel colors, claiming that they mean no harm and just want to be loved like everyone else. Some of the headlines are “Why Pedophilia And Pedophiles Are Not A Risk To Children”, “Growing Up A Pedophile” and “How I came out as an anti-contact pedophile to the woman I love.”
The Conservative Tribune reports that the movement to make pedophilia more acceptable actually started several years ago, most notably in 2010 when two Canadian psychologists suggested that pedophilia should be listed as a sexual orientation.
“True pedophiles have an exclusive preference for children, which is the same as having a sexual orientation. You cannot change this person’s sexual orientation. He may, however, remain abstinent,” Van Gijseghem, a psychologist and retired University of Montreal professor, told Parliament at the time.
The public needs to be aware of this new movement which could be just another page from the liberal playbook that rebrands immoral behaviors to make them more politically correct and then eventually normalized.
