This Friday marks the 9th World Down Syndrome Day which is designed to raise awareness of people who have Down Syndrome and those who live with - and love - them.
The day is dedicated to educating the public about the condition and help overcome the discrimination that dogs people with Down from the moment they are conceived. Some studies show as many as 90 percent of babies with Down Syndrome are aborted and those mothers who bring their babies to term are often left without the critical resources they need to help them meet the challenges of their child's special needs. Not only are the mothers left with the help they need, but their children are also the victims of discrimination throughout their lives.
But this doesn't have to be! A new video is speaking to the hearts of millions around the world today as they listen to children with Down Syndrome tell a frightened mother why she should not be afraid to give life to her unborn child who has just been diagnosed with Down Syndrome.
