This week saw two more ghoulish incidents of abortionists caught casually discussing tactics for preserving fetal heads for brain harvesting and telling undercover investigators that baby parts are exchanged for grant money.

The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) has released the 11th video in a multi-part undercover sting operation which captures a conversation with Dr. Amna Dermish of Planned Parenthood in Austin, Texas who calls the harvesting of intact fetal heads “something to strive for.”

“My aim is usually to get the specimens out pretty intact,” says Dermish, speaking to actors posing as a fetal tissue procurement company. Dermish admits that she will sometimes use ultrasound guidance to convert a 2nd-trimester fetus to a feet-first breech presentation. “Especially the 20-weekers are a lot harder versus the 18-weekers, so at that point I’ll switch to breech" she says.

She goes on to say that this what she was taught by Deb [Nucatola], the infamous Senior Director of Medical Services at Planned Parenthood Federation of America who was caught on the first film casually munching salad and sipping wine while describing how to properly “crush” unborn infants to preserve sought-after body parts.

On the latest video, when questioned about the harvesting of fetal brains, Dermish said, “I haven’t been able to do that yet,” but exclaims with laughter, “This will give me something to strive for!”

Meanwhile, pro-life leaders in the state of Michigan are calling upon the state’s attorney general to investigate evidence uncovered in another video in which Lisa Harris, a physician who performs 2nd trimester abortions at the Ann Arbor, MI Planned Parenthood clinic admits to harvesting baby parts in exchange for grants.

Citizens for a Prolife Society point to a recent video produced by the Center for Medical Progress in which Harris talks about harvesting “orbits” (fetal eyeballs) and “residual tissue” which she makes available to “individual researchers” in exchange for “grants.”

The 11 minute interview with Harris was found among a batch of videos acquired at a National Abortion Federation convention which are under a court injunction but were leaked through a congressional “whistleblower” after a judge permitted the videos to be handed over to Congress.

In the video Harris makes several disturbing statements to Daleinden such as: “I am happy to talk more about whether we are a worthwhile partner for you or not. Happy to talk about federal regulations that get in the way of doing this and what socially, what experience we let women have in conjunction with their abortions.”

Within the context of harvesting aborted baby parts Harris stated that women should be allowed to feel that some good would come from their abortion experience. Her statements made it clear that the harvesting of aborted baby body parts was something she favored for the sake of helping women feel positive about their abortion decision.

Regarding the harvesting of body parts, Harris admits that “All research projects pay for the effort” but indicated that payment by “individual researchers” is not per specimen, but in the form of “grants” to “cover my time.”

Given that the CMP video clearly indicates that aborted baby body parts are harvested at the Planned Parenthood Ann Arbor abortion center and that some form of “monetary exchange” was made for this organ and tissue procurement, pro-life advocates believe it is incumbent that the Michigan Attorney General initiate a full investigation of the abortion practice of Lisa Harris and the Planned Parenthood abortion facility.

Monica Migliorino Miller, director of Citizens for a Pro-Life Society and Women of Grace board member states: “This CMP video cannot be ignored. Body parts of innocent unborn children are being harvested out of this Planned Parenthood abortion facility. Laws may have been broken—and we want the Michigan Attorney General to look into this matter."

She adds: "But other laws have been broken – laws that have to do with what is decent, good and just. These CMP videos— including the Harris video—show the dark ethic of abortion that literally reduces a human being to a thing. The innocent unborn are killed, their body parts exploited by others as abortion denigrates human beings to raw utilitarian value. If we want to be a people of justice, the killing and the harvesting must both be opposed.”
