Pro-abortion acdtivists desecrated a Christian pro-life display at Clarion University last week, using fake blood to scrawl the words "Pro-Choice" on the sidewalk.
LifeNews.com is reporting that the vandalism, which was believed to have been perpetrated by pro-abortion students, took place during Holy Week and involved turning a display of 350 Christian crosses upside down to form satanic symbols. They also dripped fake blood on several crosses, which were pulled out of the ground and left in a pile. As if to explain the meaning of the desecration, they also scrawled the words "Pro-Choice" on the sidewalk in front of the scene.
“Vandalism of pro-life displays on campus is not uncommon, but this incident takes pro-choice vandalism on campus to a whole new level,” said Kristan Hawkins, director of Students for Life of America. “It is revolting to think that anyone would desecrate a display in this way, most especially with red paint to imitate blood. Clarion University must take a strong stand against this disgusting, intolerant, and hate-filled act.”
The act was particularly heinous because last week's was "Life Week," which is hosted annually by the campus' pro-life group. One of the highlights of the week is the erection of a "Cemetery of the Innocents" display in which 350 wooden crosses are planted in the middle of the campus. Each cross represents the 10 children killed by abortion in the U.S. every day.
Clarion University has not responded to requests for comments on the incident.
