Another Radical Pro-Abortion Judge Nominated to Federal Bench

By Susan Brinkmann, OCDS Staff Journalist Only weeks after the U.S. Senate responded to public pressure and refused to approve the nomination of radical  Goodwin Liu to the federal bench, another controversial judge who sided with notorious late-term abortionist George Tiller and Planned Parenthood has been nominated to the federal appeals court. Kathy Ostrowski, Legislative Director of Kansans for Life, is reporting that Steve Six, a former judge who was appointed Attorney General of the state of Kansas by then-governor and radical abortion advocate, Kathleen Sebelius, in 2007, has been nominated to the federal bench. "Six has not demonstrated any notable record of accomplishment during his Sebelius-appointments," writes Ostrowski for LifeNews. "Rather he has shown himself to be partisan and pro-abortion.  He was willing to interrupt his comfortable law practice and this judicial nomination is his reward for jumping to help Sebelius and the abortion industry." During his tenure as Attorney General, Six was responsible for: • gagging a judge from testifying about Planned Parenthood crimes, • sandbagging the 2009 misdemeanor trial against the late George Tiller • prevented access to abortion record copies, even those without patient info. Shortly after Sebelius left the state to head the Department of Health and Human Services, Six lost his re-election campaign. However, as Ostrowski reports, "within a few short months came the ‘abortion payback’:  Six was nominated to the federal appeals court, putting him on track to potentially be a future Supreme Court justice!" Six's appointment can be stopped, she says, because this position requires the approval of more than just Six's friend Sebelius. This time, his appointment will have to be approved by the U.S. Senate, which is where Ostrowski says he can be stopped just like Goodwin Liu was stopped a few weeks ago. The problem is that the two Senators from Kansas, Jerry Moran and Pat Roberts, who are both Republican and pro-life, have refused to put a "hold" on Six's appointment. Without them, it will be nearly impossible to stop his confirmation. " The Six confirmation vote in committee will likely be decided by June 16, before heading to the full Senate," Ostrowski writes. "Both Kansas Senators need to wake up and stop this abortion payback nominee!" She is urging the public to contact Sen. Pat Roberts (202-224-4474) and Sen. Jerry Moran (202-224-6521) as well as other senators (through the Capital Switchboard at 202-224-3121) to ask them to vote against Steve Six. "Time is of the essence," she says. "Do it today!" © All Rights Reserved, Living His Life Abundantly®/Women of Grace®  http://www.womenofgrace.com
