His Excellency, Timothy Broglio, Archbishop for Military Services, responded to a request from the homosexual advocacy group Catholics for Equality asking him to support the repeal of the military's "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy by firmly stating the Catholic position and telling the group they "cannot be legitimately recognized as Catholic."
New Bill Requires Children to State Sexual Orientation

Liberal lawmakers on the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee passed a bill that will require federal health officials to question anyone, including children, who seeks services from federal community health centers to state their sexual orientation and "gender identity."
NJ Planned Parenthood Shutters Clinic After Funding Cuts

The failure of New Jersey's state legislature to override the decision by Gov. Chris Christie to cut off Planned Parenthood from taxpayer funds has already begun to pay off with the shuttering of one of its clinics.

KL writes: "I just found out last week that our parish is going to start offering yoga classes and I am not sure what to do about this. I talked to our school principal and our school board about it, and the principal has since talked with our parish priest. I just got an e-mail that says "after a good deal of research" and talking with our priest they have decided that the yoga classes will go on . . . ugh! I have downloaded and printed the document, Jesus Christ the Bearer of the Water of Life, and am wondering if you have any other suggestions for me. Ruling Seen as Victory in ND88 Case

A St. Joseph County Circuit Court Judge ruled earlier this week that attorneys from the Thomas More Society may depose a former official recently fired by the University of Notre Dame - a key ruling for the defense in the case of the "ND88," the 88 pro-life demonstrators arrested at the University for protesting President Obama's receiving honors at the commencement ceremonies in 2009.
