Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Corrects Inauguration Promotion

By Susan Brinkmann, OCDS Staff Writer Under a hail of criticism, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts has corrected its announcement about celebrating “freedom of choice” on Inauguration Day with a free doughtnut of "choice." The company realized the inappropriateness of its phrasing and reissued the announcement with the offending language removed.

Unrestricted Abortion Supported by Small Minority of Americans

By Susan Brinkmann, OCDS Staff Writer   If President-elect Barack Obama’s plans to push the pro-abortion agenda to new heights in the coming years, he will be doing so against the will of the American people. Yet another survey, this one commissioned by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), found that only nine percent of the population believes abortion should be legal for any reason at any time during pregnancy.
