The Satanic Roots of Abortion

To make a connection between abortion and Satan does not require  much of a leap. Of course he’s behind all murderous acts, and his fingerprints are all over the abortion industry.

The public got its first view of this connection in 2013 during a protest in the Texas capitol of Austin. Members of the pro-life community were singing Amazing Grace when they were suddenly surrounded by a group of pro-abortion activists who began chanting, “Hail Satan!” Surprisingly, even the mainstream media was shocked.

Had they been covering the abortion wars in the unbiased manner expected of professional journalists, they might not have been so surprised.

For example, in 2010, a woman named Abigal Seidman was interviewed by LifeSiteNews.com and told the story of her mother who worked in an abortion clinic. Through her mother, Seidman received a first-hand account of the clinic’s inner workings and how the place was infested with occult imagery and practices. The workers considered abortion to be a form of sacrifice and would perform the procedure as if it was a sort of ritual, and would worship “deities embodying death," she explained.

One of those deities was a Goddess whose “truest form” was recognized as “the Great Dragon.”

In addition to ritual drug use, and “sacred prostitution,” ritual abortions were performed after-hours involving clinic staff who had intentionally become pregnant.

“I always had a ‘feeling’ that there was something ‘wrong’ or ‘dangerous’ there - almost a feeling of a presence, which I now recognize as being the exact opposite of the Presence that I feel in a church,” Seidman said.

Although she is not claiming that all abortion clinics are like this, she is certain of the connection between abortion and the occult.

And she’s not alone.

Yale educated Dr. Richard Gallagher, a board-certified psychiatrist from New York who is on the faculty at Columbia University and New York Medical College and is also a scientific adviser to the International Association of Exorcists, writes about the same connection in his book, Demonic Foes.

In this book, Dr. Gallagher tells of his first experience with a fully possessed patient who made the connection between abortion and Satanism abundantly clear.

“‘Julia’ was a Satanic high priestess and appointed ‘breeder’ of a sex cult  who was in her early forties and wore dark flowing clothes with heavy black eye shadow. She told Gallagher that she could ‘get pregnant easily,’ which gave her special status in the cult that used aborted fetuses for ceremonies. She also acknowledged that she worshiped Satan as his ‘queen’ which engendered her to a certain set of supernatural powers.”

Exorcists have long noted the strong connection between abortion and the occult. One of the easiest ways to spot it is in the way the industry tries to make the profane look sacred.

For example, members of the abortion industry frequently refer to it as a “sacrament”. This is the same tactic used by Satan when he mimics the Catholic liturgy in the Black Mass, in the Satanic Bible, even in the so-called “Trinity of Satanism” which consists of Lucifer, Satan, and devils.

This same twisting of right and wrong, good and evil, is a hallmark of the abortion industry.

In this interview with Florida Today, Patricia Baird-Windle, former owner of three abortuaries, repeatedly refers to abortion as a sacrament and a blessing. “Abortion is a major blessing, and a sacrament in the hands of women…At the very crucible of the sacrament of abortion work is that some women have an abortion out of love for the baby, [some] out of love for the children they already have and are having a hard time feeding.”

Militant atheist Anne Nicol Gaylor authored a book entitled, Abortion is a Blessing in which she claims the practice to be a sacred rite. French author Ginette Paris expresses the same belief in her book, The Sacrament of Abortion.

These demonic parodies can even be found in signs that are hung on the walls of abortuaries such as this statement found in the Summit Women’s Center, an abortion clinic in Connecticut, “The staff in this office does sacred work and though you may hope to never come back, we return each day to hear your stories, hold your hands, and ease your fears. Our lives are consumed with caring for yours. In these walls and in our hearts you are forever valued, treasured, respected and safe.”

As Judie Brown, president of the American Life League comments, “Of course this sign is addressed to those human beings whose lives may survive the surgical abortion to become the mothers of dead children, not to the babies killed by abortionists and their helpers. If the employees mentioned in the sign truly valued, treasured, respected, and kept safe every human being who entered there, they would not be tearing apart preborn babies.”

As Carrie Gress points out in her book, The Anti-Mary Exposed: Rescuing the Culture from Toxic Femininity, witchcraft and goddess worship were rampant among the members of the early radical feminist movement who were the first promoters of abortion. Kate Millett, dubbed the “high priestess” of the women’s movement, once terrified her own sister when she hosted a Halloween party in which 12 women sat naked around a table, each with a plate, bowl of water, and sharp knife resting on their placement. In a kind of parody of the Last Supper, the woman at the head of the table had a live ten-foot boa constrictor wrapped around her neck. As soon as her sister, Mallory Millett, got the chance, she escaped through the nearest exit and spent the rest of her life talking about the “dark and demented” work of her sister, Kate.

Jesus tells us exactly how to discover the origins of movements such as abortion-on-demand. “By their fruits you will know them,” He says in Matthew 7:16. The abortion industry has left a long trail of destruction in its wake, from the deaths of millions of innocent children to the widespread destruction of marriage and family, and the loss of respect for motherhood and fatherhood. So many of today’s social ills are the direct result of the loss of respect for life that was spawned by the introduction of contraception and abortion on demand in our country and the world. These are certainly not the fruits of anything holy and sacred.

The good news is that Satan will never win this war because the power of God is on the side of the faithful. Victory belongs to those who persevere and if there’s one thing more obvious than the connection between Satan and abortion, it’s the fact that we have no intention of giving up the fight until this war is won.
